Start your skiing holiday with a hearty breakfast in our Johannesbad Hotel Palace, which turns into a real ski hotel in winter. Strengthened you can then explore the four ski areas of the Gastein Valley with over 220 kilometers of slopes.

These belong to the Ski amadé ski association, one of the largest winter sports areas in Europe.

The ski bus is waiting right in front of the hotel. To forget something?

No problem, you can rent the right equipment directly from the ski shop in the Hotel Palace.

Information for winter high season:

The Ski amadé has a Online early booking system (more informations at the bottom), so instead of the previous ski packages, we are offering our new accommodation packages (plus ski pass) for the coming winter season. As usual, this gives you a discount on the regular room rate. This package is not online bookable - please send us your inquire.

IMPORTANT: Our packages are for adults only. Children receive the family-friendly children's fixed prices all year round including the type of board booked (without ski pass).

4 + 5 nights in the winter high season on request. Please note the different opening times of the ski stations.

The prices are per person/ stay.
The tax (€ 2,40 per person/ night from 15 years old) and RIC (€ 1,10 per person/ stay from 15 years old and from 5 nights) are not included.

Our packages are for adults only.
Children, adolescents and 3rd persons in a double room receive the family-friendly (child) fixed prices (in a room with 2 full-payers) all year round including the type of board booked (without additional services). Additional services (such as ski pass & tickets) for children, adolescents and 3rd persons can be booked additionally.

*2 children until 11 years stay in the room with 2 full paying person for free
(except 21.12.24 - 14.03.25)

*Free 6-day ski pass for all children up to the age of 15 - if at least 1 parent takes a 6 days skipass.

Online early booking system for ski passes:
Book your ski passes online when you reserve your room, because the rule is: the earlier you buy, the cheaper!
There is a contingent of ski passes for every date at the online early bird price. The price depends on the season, demand and time of purchase. However, you can still buy ski passes at the cash desks and from us at the hotel reception at the ticket office price (the most expensive).

When purchasing the ski tickets, you can book a cancellation guarantee with the ticket. Only then is it possible to cancel the ski pass up to 2 days before the start of validity without giving a reason. The cancellation guarantee costs € 2.50 per day and ski pass.

Registration is required to buy ski passes online, so the order can only be done by the ski pass owner (not by the hotel)
