Johannesbad Hotels Bad Füssing GmbH endeavors to make its website www.johannesbad-hotels.com accessible in accordance with the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) and the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV 2.0).
This declaration on accessibility applies to the publicly accessible website under the domain www.johannesbad-hotels.com.
Status of compliance with legal requirements
This website is partially compliant with the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). The assessment is based on a self-assessment according to the criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, conformance level AA.
Despite continuous efforts, there are still technical and content-related barriers, which are explained below.
The content listed below is not or only partially accessible.
Incompatibility with the BFSG and the BFSGV
Third-party content
Parts of the website use embedded content from external service providers (e.g. booking system, voucher store). This content is not entirely within the sphere of influence of Johannesbad Hotels and is not subject to the direct obligation of accessibility in accordance with Section 2 (3) BFSG. However, we are in dialog with the respective providers in order to implement barrier-free solutions.
Specifically, this concerns:
Booking System OnePageBooking 5 by HNS (as of June 15, 2025)
The following measures are currently being implemented in detail:
Implementation & Optimization of Forms for Tab Navigation
Efforts are being made to ensure that all applications and forms are fully navigable using the keyboard. This means users can access and operate all functions easily with the Tab key – without the need for a mouse. This significantly improves accessibility for people with motor impairments.
Alt Texts for Images
All images within the applications are provided with meaningful alternative texts. These texts are read aloud by screen readers, enabling users with visual impairments to understand the content and significance of the images.
Compatibility with Screen Reading Functions
The software is developed to work seamlessly with screen readers. Users who rely on audio output can easily access and operate all content and interface elements.
High and Low Contrast Modes
The applications are designed to be readable in both high and low contrast settings. This makes usage easier for people with visual impairments or color vision deficiencies. The implementation is carried out in close collaboration with the design team and based on the Figma implementation.
Accessibility Compliance of the Booking Engine
The current booking engine does not yet fully meet the requirements of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). According to the provider, implementation of the legal requirements is underway. We are in active communication with the provider to ensure a fully accessible solution is made available as soon as possible.
The booking engine currently in use does not yet fully meet the requirements of the German Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSG). According to the provider, the implementation of the legal requirements is in progress. We are in contact with the provider in order to provide a fully accessible solution in the near future.
Voucher store from E-Ventis
Incompatibilities with the legislation (as of 01.06.2025):
Some PDF documents on the website are not accessible.
Certain text elements do not have sufficient contrast.
Not all functions of the website can be used exclusively via the keyboard
Not all embedded images have descriptive alternative texts.
Some form elements are not correctly labeled for screen readers.
Some links are not clearly or descriptively named.
No sign language videos are provided.
The HTML structure does not consistently use semantically correct elements (e.g. ARIA roles, landmarks).
Content does not always appear in a logically comprehensible order.
Accessibility of the chatbot "Johanna" from DialogShift
Our chatbot is provided by an external service provider, DialogShift GmbH. For this outsourced functional area, the responsibility for digital accessibility lies with the provider itself.
This web chat application is fully compliant with the requirements of the harmonized standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA.
You can find DialogShift's accessibility statement here.
Own content
PDF documents: Some of the PDF files provided on the website are not accessible (e.g. missing tags, text not searchable).
Videos: The videos do not have audio descriptions or transcripts.
Captions: Some labels for images, links, form controls, buttons or operating elements may be missing, in some cases they are duplicated (images: title text = alt text; links: title tag = link text).
User guidance, labeling & usability: Headings or links are sometimes empty, sometimes duplicated. Links do not always contain a descriptive title.
HTML structural elements for headings can sometimes be incorrect: In the pages, headings are not always marked up with the appropriate HTML structural elements. P tags are used instead of H tags. Headings are sometimes skipped in the pages.
Contrast errors: Text and non-text elements do not always have the minimum contrast ratio. Furthermore, there may be limitations in the recognition of links, operating and menu elements that only use color as a contrast differentiator.
Reading sequence: A sensible reading sequence can be interrupted by submenus.
The measures include the successive revision and adaptation of PDF alternatives, videos, labels, user guidance, HTML structural elements, contrasts and the reading order in order to continuously improve the accessibility of the website.
Identified barriers are prioritized for elimination as part of ongoing technical and editorial maintenance.
